Our preschool days are slowly coming to an end as Hannah prepares for college, oops, I mean Kindergarten. Unfortunately, she thinks that means riding a bus. We have decided to put her in private school for Kindergarten. It is very close to us, has very small class sizes (the current Kindergarten class has 8 kids with 2 teachers!), academic standards exceed GA standards, individualized goals for every student in the school (K-12) and there is a Dora doll house in the K classroom (VERY important factor in our decision making):)
"Oh my gosh". She says it 4532085409 times a day. She has already said it twice since beginning this entry. Will she get kicked out of Kindergarten for that? If not, it will probably be for her dance moves. You should see her dance to Beyonce, "Single Ladies". I'll see if I can get her on camera. She reminds me every time I laugh my head off that it's NOT funny. She has said "Oh my gosh" 3 more times since the last OMG update. She's watching Nemo btw. Very serious stuff!
There are few things Hannah does and says that just shocks me into my "she's growing up" cloud. Little things like "I have to pee". When did she start saying pee? What happened to saying peepee?!?!?! and Mama?!?!?!? I'm Mommy, thank you very much!
Hannah has been waking up and coming downstairs in the middle of the night again. We keep going through these phases. We take back to her room over and over. We have a reward system set up for her to "earn" things for a new princess room. The idea is, after a week of magnets on her chart, I would take her to pick out something small for her "new" room she'll eventually earn. We started this 4 weeks ago...not 1 new thing yet:0) She keeps coming downstairs, we keep taking her back up...UNTIL this week:0) Ryan is out of town and somehow, I woke up with Hannah in my bed, sound asleep under my covers making the sweetest almost snoring sounds. I should have taken her upstairs because if she stayed, she would think she can always sleep with us. I should have, BUT then I remembered Hootie's country song and almost cried my head off right there in bed. She has ended up in my bed 3 out of the last 3 nights. I swear I don't know when she's getting in the bed. I just realize it at some point after the fact. But seriously, it's really done some good to my aching "I'm not a kid anymore...I'm going to Kindergarten...I have to pee" heart.
